Argentina – Week 46

Querida Familia,
¡Milagros existen!

Dear Family,

Miracles exist! Elder Chica and I strived so much this week to see a baptism this weekend, and God granted us success. On Monday morning we called an investigator named Isidro, and he said that he had made the decision to be baptized this week. We went to his house and taught him and prepared everything and committed him to quit smoking and drop alcohol. He agreed, and he made a huge change. We visited him twice daily, called often and taught the doctrine of repentance. He arrived on Sunday and was ready! He was baptized in a great miracle, and baptism was very special. I know we can not get in the way of personal agency of people, but I know without a doubt that when we have strong righteous desires, they are granted. God will always prepare the way and always has people ready to accept His gospel.

On Sunday we had a miracle similar to the baptism of Isidro, which will help us to baptize in the future. We started at 8:30 passing by investigatores to bring them to church, and passed by many. One by one, they began to fall. We went for Isidro and his friend who introduced him to the church, and they arrived safely, along with the mom and brother of Isidro’s friend , Liliana who was baptized two weeks ago. We arrived at the chapel, and we decided that we would not settle for less than our goal. We went out again to look for investigators, and no one was home! However, with every person we saw, we tell the gospel of Jesus Christ, baptism for remission of sins, and the church. We invited many people to come, but no one wanted to come. Suddenly, a woman came out of a kiosk and I felt strongly that she was going to join us. We nor said anything, we didn´t teach, just said “Hi, good day! Will you accompany us to church now? She said yes! We went walking with her to the church, and on the way we teach and we put a baptismal date, and told us that her 18 year old son was a drug addict and that her husband had died. we explained the plan of salvation and redemption that comes through Jesus Christ. was such a powerful lesson, and teach walking the chapel. When we got to the chapel 5 minutes before sacrament meeting, had arrived with Cristina and Nicolas Olegario, his son who was baptized two weeks ago. was so good to see that family who came alone to church. Finally, we could achieve our goal and it was all because of the Lord we gave all the effort we could, and he blessed us with miracles and did what we could not do it says in the guide scripture study.. “” A miracle is a extraordinary event caused by the power of God. Miracles are an important element in the work of Jesus Christ. Miracles are part of the gospel of Jesus Christ “I love what he says in Mormon 9:20.” And if miracles were made then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles, and still is an unchangeable Being? And behold, I tell you, he does not change; if so he would cease to be God; and he does not cease to be God, and is a God of miracles. “know that GOD IS A GOD OF MIRACLES.

Isidro Carrizo, MIRACLE BAPTISM! Liliana is his friend who got baptized 2 weeks ago. This week Lilianas Mom Marta is going to get baptize, and the next week her brother Mariano. Liliana called the missionaries to her door about 4/5 weeks ago to tell them she wanted to get baptized, she has an incredible story and testimony, and she´s sharing the gospel with EVERYONE! Awesome example of the fire of testimony that should push us all to share the gospel with everyone.
